What is Track or Trash?
Track or Trash is the easiest way to sort your Spotify or Youtube Music playlists in 2026! Simply use arrow keys or the buttons to sort your songs into the right category: track, trash, or love.
Why do I need spotify premium?
Spotify limits the creation of developer apps to Premium users. This also applies to listening off-site. Unfortunately, we can't do anything to change this without breaking their TOS - sorry!
What music services does this support?
TrackorTrash supports both Spotify and YouTube music! For Spotify, you need:
- to provide your own API keys
- Spotify Premium
What's the roadmap look like?

What's up with these YouTube playlists?!
Youtube considers music and regular videos to be the same. Because of this, your regular youtube playlists show as well as your music ones. We have no way to differentiate between the two for now - so you'll need to pick out the music ones, or sort through your video's while you're at it!
I can't sign in!
Oh no! Make sure you followed the exact instructions in the tutorial. Your client ID, secret, and redirect URI must be configured exactly as shown in the tutorial, or it will not work! Also refer to the error message given by Spotify.
Is Track or Trash secure?
Yes! Our entire app is open-source on github, and all information you provide is stored on your local device and doesn't get sent to anyone except for spotify.
